Our high school is very highly rated amongst the high schools in the south of Haiti. We have outstanding teachers and administrators. The proof in the pudding is our students' results in State exams. This year we had 22 students in 9th grade student and 29 in NS4 (Philo) take the official state exams. Of our 9th grade students, 21 passed --a success rate of 96%. Of the NS4 students, 26 passed -- a 90% success rate! We are immensely proud of our hard working administrators and teachers! Sadly, some of these teachers and students are working in sub-optional conditions.

Our high school is a two story structure. Historically, as our students advanced, we added classrooms and teachers, so the higher grades on the second floor were the last to be built (actually, we have another classroom to build upstairs when funds allow). Downstairs are the lower grades (7th-9th) and upstairs should be the NS levels (Nouveau Scholaire) NS1-NS4). There are currently three classrooms on the second floor, two were built after the 2021 earthquake. As a result of that earthquake, students (and teachers) were afraid to be under a concrete roof, especially on the second floor that is more difficult to get out of quickly. Therefore, tin roofs were put on those classrooms, which are now in disrepair due to rain and wind. Tin is rusting, causing leaks and rotting of support beams.

We would like for our students and staff to feel the pride in their school that we feel, and be able to work in optimal settings (and not get wet when it rains).

In addition to the cost of repairing these classrooms, repairs are needed to blackboards and student desks. The cost of the repairs to the upstairs gallery (replacing tin with a concrete roof) is $5661, which will allow us to put tarps over the classrooms as a temporary fix for the start of school and allow us more time to raise the remaining $11,400 to put a concrete roof on the classrooms.

Please consider helping us make our physical building as outstanding as our high school students and staff. Every donation helps greatly and every donation is greatly appreciated!
